Green Beer Brewing- NOT Brewing Green Beer?

We will remember St. Patrick's Day 2013 as the day we completed our GREEN Beer Brewing.
Together with Solar Power & Rainwater Harvesting Humpback Brewing has switched to LED lighting throughout the Brewery!

Like our beer LED's last for decades, save electricity, taste really great, offer extra features, and unlike our Beer their prices are plummeting!

Craft Beer is the perfect platform to show that by making small sacrifices now you will be rewarded later.

The Coromandel Brewing Company's Easy Rider

HELP US... we are stuck, needing more info. on your Easy Rider. Please. It's a bit of a mystery, and we can't sleep, eat or drink beer until we know... flavours, hops and...

Massive expectations of this tasting! Directorè Dick has returned to Australia from The Coromandel(NZ) with 2 bottles of The Coromandel Brewing Company's Easy Rider. We had found that the search for the BEST NZ has to offer in Craft Beer more difficult than expected. Of course there is the McCashin Family(Stoke), Tuatara and others! However like Australia, beer taps are still overrun by big(*purposefully in small case), bland beers from Steinlager(Lion Nathan), Lion Red(Lion Nathan), Mac's Gold(Lion Nathan)- see a trend here?
Back to Dick(*SHORT for Directorė Dick) & The Coromandel!
Now there is no end to our commitment to R&D, no country too far, no beer too dear! Dick grabbed a lofty lob wedge at the golf club at Matarangi in the Waikato and an 'Easy Rider'. It was love at first swallow as he attempted to hit his way out of the pit of sand! He didn't want to but his plane would not wait and he had to miss the Friday night beer and BBQ to raise money for the Firies and a meeting with the brewer. Forsaking the DF on his way back to Australia he packed 2 bots of 'Easy Rider' in the bag.
So again I say 'Massive expectations of this tasting'!

What we say...
3 N's- Nice bottle, nice label and the top popped... nice!
But wait there's more!
mmm mouthfeel, love the mouth feel! VERY balanced taste, slightly honey or is it?????. We had to work hard to 'chunk' the tastes associated with this very finely crafted beer. We regularly use NZ Hops but this was a new taste. We settled on a soft, not overly ripe Apricot, a touch of mild honey with subtle, lite grapefruit finish that cleaned the mouth and left a NEED for more. Luck we got 2 bottles and we share without a fight?

What they say...
‘Easy Rider’ (A pale ale)
This light, golden coloured ale has a gentle malt influence and is mildly fruity from the use of fantastic New Zealand grown hops and our special strain of yeast.
Pouring notes: Gently pour the contents into a 500 ml glass leaving the natural yeast sediment at the bottom of the bottle.
5.0% ABV

Brew 45 He's not heavy... just another Fat Yak

This is the commercial Fat Yak Pale Ale description from BeerBrewGuru...

Brand:Fat Yak
Brewer: Matilda Bay Brewing Company
Type: Ale
Style: Pale Ale
Region: South East Australia
Alcohol/vol(ABV): 4.7%

Brewers Description: Fat Yak first impresses with its golden colour, distinctive, hop driven, fruity and herbaceous aromas, giving characteristic passionfruit and melon notes, followed by a whack of hop flavour at the finish. The taste is refreshingly clean on the palate. Fat Yak is engineered in the Garage Brewery from natural ingredients, including premium malts, American Cascade hops and a hint of New Zealand Nelson Sauvin hops. Enjoy!
